In the spring, the sun is already hot in some parts of Africa, however, the moderate North African climate makes this even pleasant warmth before the summer heat wave. This is the time to stroll through the souks of Marrakech, sunbathe on the beaches of Djerba, explore the wonders of Egypt without being bothered by a suffocating heat. In desert areas, it is the right time for discovery and camel trek. To the south, moisture from the ocean, or altitude for parts of eastern, dilute the impression of heat. Kenya offers pleasant temperatures, and Tanzania. Cape Verde and the Meeting are popular destinations in the spring. Namibia is entering its dry season and is entering its tourist season.
In summer, an equatorial climate, hot and humid, reigned over much of the territory, also very heavy rainfall in some areas. North, Agadir and Essaouira in Morocco are very frequentable Africa because cooled by ocean winds. Mauritius and Madagascar offer very bearable temperatures in the day and cool nights very welcome. At the end of summer, Namibia and Zimbabwe, with the variety of fauna and beautiful landscapes are quite conducive to the discovery, with dry, sunny days: it is also the time as the tourist season in full swing.
In autumn, the weather becomes mild in North Africa. The time is therefore ripe to visit Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco and Egypt, where you'll feel like extending the summer. It is the rainy season over much of West Africa, and it is best to avoid countries like Cameroon, Cote d'Ivoire, Senegal and Benin and Togo at least until at the end of November. It is better to focus on areas such as Reunion, Madagascar, Seychelles, who live in October and November transitional periods offering a good compromise with mild temperatures and very sparse rains accompanied by an atmosphere less with moisture. Beware though the prices which can be prohibitive in this time very touristy!
In winter, North Africa shows cool temperatures that promote the discovery of the Sahara but prevents enjoy the beaches and other recreational relaxation. The east coast of Africa is experiencing extreme heat, sometimes unbearable, but the summer season begins to Kenya or Tanzania. South Africa enjoys mild temperatures and very light rain, which make it very pleasant at that time. It's time to discover Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire, Cameroon, where the dry season is dominant, with the corollary disadvantage for the presence of the harmattan wind cold and dry sand that sometimes sweeps the northern part of Senegal and parts of Cote d'Ivoire.
